Services Currently offered

Client Support
• 1:1 client support for the clients (caregivers and person with dementia) delivered in
Dunedin, Oamaru, South Otago, Central Lakes area (Alexandra, Wanaka, and
Queenstown) by Community Educators
• Education sessions for clients as and when needed or requested delivered either in
person or online
• Caregiver support groups
• Delivered monthly by Community Educators in Dunedin, Alexandra, Oamaru and
Queenstown
• These are for caregivers to attend without their person with dementia they support

Community Education
• Community group and business education presentations
• In-service presentations for health professionals
• Delivered throughout the region as and when requested

Activities for people with dementia (external funding – grants, fundraising)
• Cognitive Stimulation Therapy programs (CST) – free and delivered by Activity
Coordinators in Dunedin and Queenstown
• Day Club programs (specific for people with dementia) – fee charged and
delivered in Wanaka only
• Peer social group sessions – Alexandra
• Carer and person with dementia coffee social groups – Wanaka, Queenstown and Alexandra
