We love our volunteers! Volunteers are so important to the Alzheimers Otago team and help us with events, fundraising and programme delivery.

Volunteers needed for our Activity programmes for people with dementia

We are currently seeking volunteers for our activities for people with dementia in Dunedin, Wanaka and Queenstown area.

If you have a good understanding life with dementia and are an empathetic person with great listening skills, have a great sense of fun - you may be right for the role. We can not run these programmes without our volunteers!

Volunteers help deliver meaningful activities for people with dementia, and they have a great time doing it!

Our activities are:

1. Day club in Wanaka

2. "Minds in Motion (CST) programmes in Queenstown (*and coming soon to Dunedin)

Keeping in Touch Volunteers

We are seeking volunteers for our new Keeping in Touch Service across the region. The role involves making regular phone calls with our clients to check in and lend a listening ear and refer on to our Community Educators if needed.

If you have a good understanding life with dementia and are an empathetic person with great listening skills you may be right for the role. Contact the Manager on manager@alzheimersotago.org.nz or 03 471 6154
