We love our volunteers! Volunteers are an important part of the Alzheimers Otago team and are involved in events, fundraising, office administration and program delivery. Find out more about our current volunteer opportunities below.

Wanaka and Queenstown Volunteers Needed

We are currently seeking volunteers for our clubs in Wanaka and Queenstown. Volunteers help deliver meaningful activities for people with dementia, and they have a great time doing it! Contact Gayle on 027 441 4960 or queenstown@alzheimersotago.org.nz to find out more.



Keeping in Touch Volunteers

We are seeking volunteers for our new Keeping in Touch Service across the region. The role involved making regular phone calls with our clients to check in and lend a listening ear and refer on to our Community Educators if needed. If you have a good understanding life with dementia and are an empathetic person with great listening skills you may be right for the role.
