We want to introduce you to a wonderful programme that we support in North Otago called Creative Connections.

Thanks to a partnership between The Ministry of Social Development and Alzheimers Otago, Creative Connections aims to provide a safe, comfortable, and caring environment for people with all forms of dementia to participate in engaging, community-based activities in Oamaru.

This programme is similar to our Minds in Motion initiative in that it seeks to encourage social interaction and foster a supportive environment for its participants.

The small group meets once a week at the Customs House Gallery in Oamaru and offers a range of activities such as visits to the Waitaki District Museum, Forrester Gallery, and the Oamaru Public Gardens, as well as interactive art forms like painting, music, and tactile materials.

Join Creative Connections to experience the power of creativity and community engagement in enhancing the lives of individuals with dementia. Space is limited so get in touch with Teri Wood to register or find out more at 027 250 7800 or Artchatteri@gmail.com
